We have many different meanings for the start of spring . In Japan cherry blossom viewing is very popular. Here are some terms to remember: Full bloom 満開 Blossom 咲く Cherry 桜 Flower Viewing party 花見 Here are the ladies in a flower viewing party Joan: do you like flowers Jill: not really, I have hay fever Joan: oh that’s too bad. Jill: it’s okay, I am taking medicine for it. Joan: does it make you sleepy? Jill: yes it does. I can’t really drink alcohol either. Joan: I see, well ... would you like to walk in the park and see the flowers ; they are in full bloom. Jill: sure, I have a bit of cabin fever.
